Dr. Timika S. Edwards, a licensed psychologist, earned her Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Georgia, where she also completed a certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy. She obtained her Master’s degree in Counseling and Family Therapy from Saint Louis University and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Missouri -Columbia.

Dr. E is the owner of TSE Psychological Services and co-owner of Psychological Services of St. Louis, a group practice, both of which are located in Richmond Heights, Missouri. With nearly 20 years of experience, she provides individual, group, and family therapy to diverse populations. Her clinical expertise includes family and relationship dynamics, LGBTQIA+ concerns, trauma and abuse, mood disorders, and issues related to spirituality and religious identity. In addition, Dr. E. conducts psychological evaluations to help clients gain a clearer understanding of potential psychological concerns. Her clinical experience and research interests emphasize a multicultural perspective with culturally responsive care.

Dr. E’s therapeutic approach is strengths-based and relational, integrating family systems, psychodynamic, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and cognitive-behavioral (CBT) techniques. She believes in building a trusting and supportive environment where clients can uncover the beauty in their life’s journey. Through collaboration, she helps clients navigate challenging situations, transitions, and emotions that may interfere with personal growth or therapeutic goals.

Beyond her clinical work, Dr. E. serves as a supervisor for pre-licensed therapists and is passionate about teaching, consulting, and community outreach, particularly with marginalized populations.

Nelver Brooks, EdD, PLPC is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor whose career reflects a deep commitment to education, leadership, and mental health. Before pursuing counseling, Dr. Brooks earned her Doctorate in Education and developed extensive experience supporting diverse learners and families. Her work in education and leadership provided a strong foundation for understanding human development, motivation, and the systemic challenges that shape people’s lives.

Her growing passion for mental health and emotional wellness, particularly among underrepresented and underserved populations, led her to expand her focus into the field of counseling. Dr. Brook’s experiences working with diverse communities, including refugee and immigrant populations, have deeply influenced her belief in the importance of culturally responsive care.

Under the supervision of Dr. Timika S. Edwards, PhD, Licensed Psychologist, Nelver Brooks, PLPC provides evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. Her approach integrates techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and person-centered counseling to meet each client’s unique needs. She strives to create a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to explore personal growth and healing.
